“Hundreds of Peggy Lee fans attended the “Miss Peggy Lee” tribute show Friday at the Reiland Fine Arts Center in Jamestown. Acclaimed jazz artists Stacy Sullivan, Jon Weber and Steve Doyle put on a show that was out of this world.

The audience said singer Sullivan was dialed into the spirit of Peggy Lee and the family members of Peggy Lee were stunned by her performance. Sullivan reminded the audience about how much North Dakota meant to Lee who grew up in Wimbledon as Norma Delores Egstrom living with her father in a train depot.

Family members of Lee told NewsDakota.com how special the performance of Sullivan was to them and what a fitting tribute it was to their grandmother Peggy Lee.

Granddaughter Holly Foster Wells and her brothers Mike and David Foster along with their children were overcome with emotion during the concert and presented Sullivan with bouquets of roses after the show.

Sullivan and national renowned pianist Jon Weber and bassist Steve Doyle said the music of Peggy Lee is wonderful and it was a fitting tribute to her and her family as the artists made their debut performance in North Dakota.”
